Chromium Purple

There's a nice walk that runs up the Downs from the town, across a stretch of high land curiously called Landport Bottom, round above an old chalk pit and down to the village of Offham.

Off the lane heading from the Offham church down an old carting track back to town is an old Ford V8 Pilot which as far as I know hasn't moved recently. It's always there whenever we do the walk.

It must be out there in all weathers and have been there for a good number of years. But the chrome work is gleaming and the paintwork is a lovely matt purple that is slightly discoloured.

I wonder what it's like to drive?
