Monsters

While having lunch today we saw a fisherman hook into something pretty big. During the meal we watched him as he ran up and down the rocks. After a leisurely lunch we decided to follow the action.

Three hours later he landed this large short tailed sting ray. It's hard to see in the picture how heavy it actually was, but I estimate that it was easily over 300 lbs with a wing span of 6 feet.

The ray was released and swam away.
