In the mall with the maids

On Sunday the Phillipina maids are given a day off. As they can't visit each other's houses as they 'live in', they congregate in small groups along the walkways of Central Hong Kong. There are hundreds of them, and you can hear them from far away chattering like twittering birds.

This shot was taken in the World Wide Plaza, one of the few malls to allow them admittance.

My 6ft 5in friend, reluctantly :-) demonstrates the height difference between an average Asian woman and a taller than average westerner.
