An Irish View

Dad

Bit of a cheat this one, it's a photo of a photo of my dad taken just over a year ago.

He died six months ago today.

He always wanted to make it to 100,

So for my 100th blip birthday... here he is...

My old man

"I thought he'd live for ever, he always seemed so big and strong,
But the minutes fly and the years roll by for a father and a son,
Then suddenly when it happened, there was so much left unsaid,
No second chance to tell him thanks for all things he'd done.

Oh, I never will forget him, for he made me what I am.
Though he may be gone, memories linger on, and I miss him, my old man."
