Wisteria

Felt a bit odd this morning buying lots of wine and nibbles at 8.15 at my local supermarket on the way to work.

Very busy day trying to get stuff done as it was our monthly deadline today. Didn't stop for a lunch break and will still have one last thing to finish first thing tomorrow.

Back home for a quick run around with the hoover in preparation for book group. In a brief lull before everyone arrived, I nipped out into the garden in search of a blip. This wisteria is looking amazing at the moment and the smell is fantastic. The plant was a wedding present from our work colleagues and is now a thick trunked monster. It has to be beaten back regularly or it would have overtaken the whole street by now. I have played around with this a bit in Picasa and lightened the picture - not great but means you can see the flower bracts better.

Book group went well - we all liked our book. We also got to see pictures of a very brave little boy receiving a child of courage award recently. His grandmother is one of our founding members and the little boy was born during one of our meetings. We had a mini book sale to raise more money for CLIC Sargent CLIC.

So now waiting for both sons to return home (I've had a couple of glasses of aforementioned wine so I am excused taxi duty).

And tomorrow? Book group number 2!
