Dragon procession

I followed the dragon procession around Lamma Island for most of the day. I was the only one taking photographs seriously, so by late morning they thought they could play a bit of mischief with me.

I'd found a good spot on top of a wall, in front of this doorway and waited for the dragon to come and take his offering.

What I wasn't expecting was the owner to pop out, light a string of firecrackers and lob them in my direction. Here he is lighting the red touch paper. After this shot, you have never seen me move so fast!
