Planting

This will be the first summer in this house and the first time I have had my own garden so I have been thinking about planting some flowers and vegetables. Only problem is that I do not have a clue what to do.
I have started to grow a few plants and have used some windowsill plants but once they start to grow I have to move them and then I do not have a clue what to do.
I hope eventually to have some bonny colourful flowers in the back and I hope to take up the paving slabs in the front and plant some flowers and grass there too.
