Unusual places

Today, a friend of mine took me to two very unusual places in Paraisópolis, one of the largest slums of São Paulo. At the first place, we met Estevão, a man who has been building a house that reminds the works of Gaudí, the Spanish architect. His house is a labyrinth of corridors and arcs all covered with objects like cups, rocks, antiques, toys, electronic equipments etc. It is an eight-meter high house. On the top of it, there is a garden with plants and a wonderful view of the slum.
Then, we visited Antenor, who is building a house with green PET bottles. He has already used more than 17,000 bottles to build windows, walls and ceilings. He told us he is doing this because he wants a greener world.
It was impossible, at least for me, to capture the experience in one picture. So, I uploaded a lot of them to my Blipfolio.
