"Heading down South to the land of the pine"

Road trip to Louisiana this weekend. Not so much fun since we are driving down and emptying His parents lake house, then driving home. This picture was taken from the truck rolling down the highway at about 75mph. Not the best shot but it gives a little hint of the beautiful country that is Southern Virginia. Blue Ridge Mountains are to the east and the Allegheny Mountains to the west.

Ran into a little snafu tonight - one of the tires on our cargo trailer evaported onto the interstate. He said " I didn't check the tires on the trailer." Ugh. Apparently all four are dry rotted. Imagine that. We had to stop short of our halfway point. In the morning we will need to find a place to replace not just one, but all four tires on the trailer. Hmmm....at least the trailer wasn't loaded when the tire blew.
