The Long Arm of the.....crane

Back to work today after 2 days off with flu.

I often look out at this crane, with some envy. I used to do a bit of crane driving you know, back in the day. Bit of 'luffing', bit of 'slewing' and 'hoisting'. Happy days. Actually, I nearly met my end courtesy of a rapidly approaching ponderball in a crane once; but thats another story.

I regret not having my camera the time we looked out and saw the crane operator climb the full length of the jib to fix something right at the end.

Hmm...maybe crane operator isnt the job for me.
