Ticking Away the Moments

Messing about on the river...

Went into Evesham today, spent the morning walking by the River Avon and through Abbey Park.

Not as warm as yesterday but the sun did eventually come out. The park is looking lovely, lots of flowerbeds up round the Abbey (nearly blipped this instead) They've also built a play park with new climbing frames including one which is a working mini watermill and refilled the lily-pad pool - looked really lovely today - lots of people there enjoying it too. The river path is lovely, lots of trees lining the route - this is the other photo I nearly blipped.

Walking along the river we saw lots of swans, ducks and tiny ducklings and a few rowers powering up and down. Then caught sight of this narrowboat chugging along, with a lovely chocolate brown labrador sitting at the back (don't know the technical term, but back of the boat will do!). Here is a better view of the gorgeous dog.

Our visitors have gone back home now, it's been a lovely weekend, lots of laughs and a bit of the sightseeing we don't always do even though we have such great places on the doorstep!

Happy Easter everyone!
