They're Back!

It's that time of the year when our new neighbours roost next to our stair skylight.

Yes, herring gulls are now nesting on neighbourhood rooves and we'll now spend the next few weeks getting woken up at the crack of dawn with them squabbling over food that has spilled out of the street bins, the loud banging of beaks on the skylight's plexiglass as they fight their reflections - and the near-continual wheezing whine of new chicks demanding food will soon drive us 'round the bend.
