Holy Island (Lindisfarne)

Passing by on the A1 I realised the causeway was open because of the cars emerging so, having never been to Lindisfarne, I thought I'd have a look.

The car park outside the town was absolutely chocker so I didn't hang around there -- I've since heard it can be choked with tourists here, especially in good weather and on Easter Sunday, which I'd forgotten it was!

Instead I spent some time down on the causeway which is quite beautiful. Tried a couple of pictures.

Of course, when photographing wide open spaces it's not easy to keep it interesting. The clouds and horizon did it for me in this one. Tried another technique to hold the interest here.
