Peter's Ponderings

A little Kentish mystery

Easter weekend, the sun's shining and I live with an Aussie who needs to see more of the country! So off we trotted to the sunny Kent coast to show him what the white cliffs of Dover really look like.

Turns out they're big and white.

On our way along the coast however, we saw what I first took to be some sheep wool attached to some bushes. It turned out to be a dense ... cocoon... web... nest... thing absolutely jammed packed with caterpillars...

I should have paid more attention at school, but these things fascinated me, and were ignored by every single other person on the cliff that day! Therefore- blip number 3.
