Mwyngloddfa Cwmystwyth

I had cause to visit the old metal mines at Cwmystwyth for work purposes today. Seen as eyesores by many these old mines are fascinating places in many ways - visually, for their history, and for nature conservation (they often host hibernating bats and many interesting heavy-metal loving/tolerant lichens can be found on the spoil.

There was a film crew from London there when we arrived, filming a short drama for TV.
