Lathyrus Odoratus

Stichwort and Speedwell

On Sunday I'm leading a 10 mile guided walk. I went to check the starting point (turns out that was a good idea because the 'permissive' path I was going to use is no longer permissive). At the same time I discovered a large patch of Twayblade orchids. These might be one of the commonest orchids nationally but seem rather scarce around here. They should be in flower by the weekend. In the meantime Greater Stichwort seems to be in abundance mixed in with the bluebells and, here, Speedwell.
