Idle Dairy Farm

For political reasons I'm not savvy to, government subsidies to the anemic dairy industry in Alaska have evaporated. The sole remaining dairy in the state called Matanuska Maid which this farm supported shut down a couple of months ago. I noticed a distinct paucity of activity and diminished number of cows lately on my way to taking Calico to school. All of our milk is now shipped here from Washington and Oregon. Until they perfect the art of milking moose, I don't see the resurrection of the local dairy industry anytime soon. This is one of Chaos' colony barns
