Funky Chicken

I think this is an odd looking chicken - it's almost like it doesn't have a head. But of course it does. This was in a pen with a pig who wouldn't look at the camera (and I wasn't about to blip a pig's bum) and a turkey who hid in the coop as soon as I had my camera out. So it may be odd looking but at least I got a blip of it. Pleased about that as the weather has turned and it's not good for getting out and about.

There was exciting other news in that I got a phone call about a possible job. I think this is exciting as I don't get phone calls very often. That brought about a request for my Lebenslauf (a German version of my cv) - this required the fabulous help of G. Many, many thanks for that. The German I've learned does not lend itself to technical language - I'm quite happy telling you that tomatoes are not cheap ("die Tomaten sind nicht billig") but I'm clueless when it comes to translating Actuarial Valuations ("aktuariellen Bewertung" apparently - not something I talk about much with anyone).

Sprachschule again tonight - it was closed over the Easter weekend. I'm ready for another three hours o' learning fun.
