These Are My Boots...

...basking in the early evening sun one last time.

I bought them in Dublin in 1999, and wore them A LOT! We were in Ireland for a Venture Scout expedition... it was awesome, so much fun and so many good memories :)

They weren't hiking boots, they just looked that way. They used to be a nice shade of blue, they also used to have soles that weren't worn through. They have walked many miles with me, been many places, but it was time to say goodbye.

...and as I was choosing which image to use I noticed the laces have fallen into the shape of a heart in this one...
