Gartcosh

Gartcosh was once synonymous with steel; with industry. Then times changed.

Yet here, with the dull and untroubling hum of the M73 in the background there is a place which is beautiful, peaceful, restorative.

If the Gartcosh loch were transported to the Highlands or to parts of Perthshire, we'd make a big fuss and say it was a 'jewel' in the tourist map.

But it's here, on the doorstep, and it deserves to be appreciated, not only by the anglers in their little boats and the visitors to the cafe (Ah! Now we know why she was there!)
