Sunday: Graveyards

I have to confess that I do like a ramble around an old graveyard - in fact, so much so, that when I am on holiday I have been known to search out local graveyards......

This is our local one, all mossy and overgrown.  Just behind where I took this picture is a plague pit where 149 people, who died in the plague epidemic of 1645, are buried.  It doesn't make for a great photo as it is so overgrown but fascinating nonetheless.  Nothing like a bit of gruesome history!
