I predict a riot

In Zurich for the day and we found ourselves in the middle of some big socialist demonstration. At least I think it was socialist. It could have just as easily been fascist for all I understand of German. Anyway, it was rather loud but orderly (being Switzerland) except every now and then we found these groups of riot police just waiting. On one of the bridges they had parked a big blue water cannon truck!

It all went off without any argy bargy and we took a ferry around Lake Zurich after having a lovely lunch in a beer garden complete with a Dixieland jazz band. Great start to the holiday.
