Gillipen's Travels

Ben Gullipen to be exact.

Not a particularly high Ben, but for a little effort you can see for miles.

We on the other hand, put in a bit more effort than we intended. First off we set off along the wrong path and only realised our mistake after a mile or so when we noticed that Callander was getting closer, instead of further away.

So we turned back and then followed a small path through the forest, until we met a proper forest road. Turning right along it seemed like the right way to go. But wasn't.

We ended up, not quite lost, as we could see where we wanted to get to, but this meant going cross country, through heather, gorse and felled tree stumps.

But like I said the views were worth it. Even if the estimated 2 hour walk actually took 3h45m.

I think Mrs T might just be speaking to me now.
