Another day....

Poole Harbour from the Purbecks

Sunday morning and off just before 10am to cycle down to Sandbanks for the chain link ferry. It is soooo nice to cycle past all the queueing cars and get straight onto the ferry. After the short crossing it was off down the road for a short distance until we went off one of the many tracks. We ended up on the ridge between Corfe Castle and Old Harry Rocks where we took this view back to Poole Harbour. The bluebells were out in force today and a passer-by told us they were English Bluebellls and not the more common Spanish Bluebells, I will have to take his word for it.

After a descent into Studland it was time for a late-ish lunch on one of the National Trust beaches after getting supplies from the General Store, that hit the spot!

After lunch a quick run up the road got us back to the ferry in time for us to cycle on just as the gates were being closed - perfect timing!

After getting off the ferry it was a short! 12 mile ride home in time for a cup of tea and cake. Can't wait to do it again, although goodness knows what my legs will like tomorrow or even worse on Tuesday, might have to have the day off ;-)
