YEEEE HA!

Cowboy DIY, I hate, hate, hate it.

The last 24hrs has been, stressful, smelly, expensive, frustrating, the list goes on.

SJ has her old flat rented out to a lovely South African couple who have had a nightmare six weeks from the fuckwit upstairs who has been redoing his flat to sell (and with no ability to do the work properly). Cue constant leaks into SJ's flat, and constant messages to SJ from the couple who are staying there.

Yesterday we had to go and see the damage from the latest leak, it was in a cupboard and was caused by the washing machine upstairs. We spoke to the guy who's doing the work and his arse of a father who was seriously unpleasant. They told us that there was a blocked waste pipe from the washing machine but they were going to sort it and there would be "no more leaks."

I should've known...

5pm the husband returns to the flat from work to find the sink in the kitchen filled with dirty water that has overflowed and has flooded our downstairs neighbour. We get to the flat to help with the mess and try to figure out just WTF has happened.

Cutting to the chase. The numpty upstairs blocked the stack when he did a DIY drain cleaning causing the flood in SJ's flat. We had to call out Metro Rod to try and clean it from our property that night to no joy.

The drain guys came back today (while the guy upstairs conveniently left, with his phone switched off, but he did leave his door open for us to gain access, WTF?) and we managed to clear the blockage by knocking a hole through his wall to the stack and shifting the gunk that way.
