A Stump Full of Grandaddies

We were riding the Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone and Blowing Rock today. We stopped at one of the many overlooks and found these two troubadours having a great time for themselves.

The couple sounds fantastic, although they said they were not professionals, they had me fooled. The woman plays the guitar and the man plays the mandolin. Both sing well. They were great. I see stardom in their future.

If you look closely you might notice they were sitting next too a cliff that went well over 100' straight down.

I asked if they has a group name. The man said their name for the next hour or so would be "A Stump Full of Grandaddies". but it turns out there is already a group by that name.

The short visit with these two talented and friendly people made our day.
