Battles

Today is the first full day of my new part-time life in Göttingen. At the moment it is full of battles; battles with myself, battles with my partner, battles between the conflicting priorities in my life... Walking to the market this morning I saw this graffiti on a wall. It seemed to sum up how I feel. In Dutch 'weg bommen' would in my head be translated as 'away with the bombs'. In German 'wegbomben' I think is a verb, to blow somebody away. I am finally realising that conflicts are an unavoidable part of life. It is time that I faced them...
