They have blossom in germany too!

So, today was our last day in Hamburg, for this trip. We will definitely be going back as soon as a few things are arranged (and Mrs BH has got a new EHIC).

Before our flight, our marvellous hosts took us to Kiekeberg, a museum village place that has reconstructions of old German houses from the past 300 or so years that you can walk round and through, see how they were constructed, learn about the sorts of people who lived there, what work they did etc. I was very interested having seen the large farmhouses/barns last summer when were travelling round northern Germany, and they had the same buidlings here - the front part is the family house and the remaining 80% is the barn for the livestock and storage for the animal and human food.

And outside they have trees in blossom. Nice :o)
