Day of Book and Rose

In Finland World Book Day is today. In other countries World Book Day takes plase at a different time of year - usually in April. World Book Day comes from Catalonia. In Barcelona and Catalonia on 23rd April Sant Jordi's Day has been a day of romance when the men present their own princess with a red rose.
In 1923 the tradition of rose giving was expanded to include the ladies giving the men a book. UNESCO adopted 23rd of April as World Book and Copyright Day in 1990.
Every kind of book happenings took place here today. Only ladies got roses in a bus.
