Orange Tip

Day after day I have watched them fly,
Bobbing away from my camera's eye,
Sometimes one and sometimes two,
Fluttering by as butterflies do.
Now, at last, the Orange Tip settles
To sup on Herb Robert among the nettles.
I daren't come close, but I have to be quick;
No sudden movement, one steady click!
So, it isn't the best, as photographs go,
But it's my little Orange Tip, one that I know.

This is the third butterfly species that I have captured this year. I got a lot closer to the Small Copper and the Speckled Wood.
