Brantwood

Brantwood was the home of John Ruskin (1819-1900), painter, poet, writer, Oxford University Professor and social reformer.

It sits on the shores of Coniston Water.

It was also used for many scenes in the 2006 film "Miss Potter", starring Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor and Emily Watson.

The film tells the story of children's author Beatrix Potter.

Not the best shot as the light was, at the same time, bright and gloomy with a bit of haze thrown in for good measure.

Also I had no tripod.
