Skyscrapers!

This shot was taken straight overhead on West 43rd Street at 6th Avenue in NYC. North is up and south is down (west is left and east is right). The brand new edifice at the "bottom" is the Bank of America building.

It's opposite the International Center of Photography (ICP), where I had visited four exhibitions (all are closing May 8th. The most important is The Mexican Suitcase (it opened Sept. 24 and has been extended until now); it displays recently discovered photographs of the Spanish Civil War by Robert Capa, Gerda Taro, and Chim (David Seymour). The ICP is a mecca for photography in New York--visiting blippers should not miss it.

Earlier today the last (for now) items of furniture arrived at our apartment: A sofabed for the living room, with a reclining chair.

I mentioned the ICP and the Mexican Suitcase show when I blipped the Brooklyn Bridge last October.
