Lathyrus Odoratus

Large Red

Spent the morning helping a local ecologist with a damsel and dragonfly survey, the first of planned fortnightly visits to an under-recorded area. Found several exuvia and saw azure, common blue, large red and demoiselle damselflies, lots of broad-bodied chasers and an emperor dragonfly. I also saw my first pearl-bordered fritillary - alas it moved off before I could get a photograph. We also came across five adders and two grass snakes.
