BLUEBELLS and BIRDS

A delightful walk around the Strid Woods at Bolton Abbey, which should or could take an hour, took us more like three. It wasn't just me slowing things down with the camera, it was the birds too. Pied Flycatchers, Wood Warblers, Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs, Nuthatches, Treecreepers, a Sparrowhawk having a go at a Dipper, which plunged into the river and escaped capture. And then later a fledgling Dipper being fed by a parent, and a Goosander with 11 bouncing, bobbling young, scooting about on the water. And a Roe Deer in the Bluebells.

A lovely walk and it didn't start raining until we got back to the car. Thank you.
