Hurley-copter

Duncan up a tree in the Meadows, Edinburgh, trying to retrieve our new Helirang with a hurling stick. We went to Edinburgh for the Wean's World film at the Filmhouse, which was "Hop" this weekend. We really enjoyed it, very silly story that kept us interested right through. Carlos the evil chick is very good.

Afterwards the boys spotted Wonderland and we spent a bit of time ooh-ing and aah-ing at the models. They also have a good range of flying toys and I ended up getting a few. The Helirang was the one they went for straight away, and before we were used to it's curved flight it was stuck up a tree. There were 2 Irish lads practising hurling near by and they came over to help. I lifted Duncan up into the tree, they passed him a hurley, and I grabbed my camera as Blip-dads do. We did get it down eventually and headed off to the train to North Berwick via an ice-cream van.

I spent the evening photographing another Uprising Acoustic gig, which had 5 great talents playing. There's lots of photos on Flickr. Another great evening with a hugely positive crew.
