Dolomites: Three chimneys

Everything in the Dolomites has an Italian and a German name. The iconic Dolomite view is the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, or Drei Zinnen - either way, Three Chimneys in English. This is them, but not the usual view.
We had a tedious downhill walk first thing, then we had to go up again - so we skipped a bit and got the bus up to the foot of the Tre Cime, then walked round the back of them (here), had lunch in the Lavaredo hut, then up through quite wild country (but still with relics from World War 1 and earlier campaigns between the Italians and Austrians) - seeing some marmots - to another hut where we spent the night.
This was the Bullelejochutte, 2525m up and a much more basic mountain hut with a ladder to the sleeping area. Cosy and friendly though. I was struggling a bit today and really tired when we got to the hut just as some serious rain started. We were glad of the earlier bus ride! Not feeling too good - but pay-off came later when I slept through the very loud thunderstorms that I was assured raged for much of the night.
