Sunbeams

Linseed

The flowers have reached their peak and have enjoyed yesterday's rain storm, the first for about six weeks or so! I find this crop is difficult to photograph as one never quite captures the intensity of the colour of the flowers. From our bedroom window the field looks as if it has sprung a lake which sometimes turns a bright mauve depending on the light.

The contractors returned this morning and covered up the silage in the pit with plastic sheets weighted down with old tyres. The grass was fortunately already under cover and protected from the rain during the night. The men did a very neat job.
