DIMM

I've been trying to coble together one temporary PC out of various old ones and bits .. stripping the broken one down I'm amazed at why these DIMMs would be given branding and coloured packaging .... they spend their life inside the case where you don't see them ... anyway make a subject for an emergency blip.

They also show the way in which things evolve ... at the weekend I found an old book about ZX Spectrum machine code programming and how it could "unleash the full power of the 16k ZX Spectrum" ... these are 1Gb DIMMs and already pretty old ...

(we spec 6Gb RAM on the graphics cards for some of the commercial software we make these days)
