Blip is a sadder place today.

She was no fan of Peter Mayle, and she was probably a more accurate observer, but her ability to bring to life the daily characters of Tuscany was for me the best of her very many skills.

Her last blip on Saturday was of Luigi. I still don't know what to make of that - although I do feel that at some level it is significant.

Rest eternal be yours, Molly. On at least two occasions I said to her - "May you blip for ever"! Sadly, none of us can.
