Ettrick Bay

On our beloved Isle of Bute for the week-end.

Today we lunched at Craigmore tearoom, followed by a wander in the Castle Gallery and onto the beach at Ettrick Bay for a brisk walk followed by hot choc and apple/lemon meringue pie.

We have been coming here for 48 years (J) and 38 years (D) respectively. We fell in love here and became engaged to be married here so it is very special to us, and our children who spent part of every summer here.

This year the next generation (miss Molly) will be exposed to its delights and I hope she will be as smitten as her daddy.

From the ferry crossing, enjoying chips and with the promise of fillet steaks purchased from McCaskie's the butcher in Wemyss Bay-a week-end of R+R beckons-BLISS!
