I was very impressed by Lady Findhorn's early blip of Candlemaker Row completely devoid of traffic and people, so for contrast I tried a couple of mid-afternoon shots of the Grassmarket. Unfortunately there was a very impassioned man preaching religious-style (with quite a high tech sound system), so the hen parties were not in evidence, having presumably taken refuge in the pubs.

So I took a few pics from the top of the no 35 bus on the way home - this is the entrance to Holyrood Palace at the foot of the Canongate (Royal Mile).
