FAIR WEATHER SKY

This day started with howling wind with gusts reaching 130kph plus and with all the rain we have absorbed lately there were trees down blocking roads and generally causing frustration - including a 500yr old macrocarpa in the Glenfalloch gardens.

Had to drive mother to have her hair done and then on to dentist for treatment on a painful tooth (extracted. In between appointments I attended my bank and whilst there an small, slight elderly woman came hurtling through the doors with blood streaming down her face and on her arms and hands. She had been blown over by the fierce winds!! She had a wonderful sense of humour and thanked her lucky stars for "the big brute walking down the street towards me" as he had stopped her from being blown on down the street.

A bad hair day for everyone. Mothers 'do' did not last long much to her chagrin.

After a drive for the Cancer Society I took a few moments for me up on Wilson Drive overlooking a calm ocean - the wind died down by early afternoon.
