Taranaki Day

It's Taranaki Day today, a local holiday.

I got up early this morning to go and surf down the coast before the crowds arrived. After five hours in the water, I headed home and then accompanied my wife for a walk on Mount Taranaki through the mountain rainforest. We finally ended up at Te Rere 'O' Noke (better known as Dawson Falls).
