Rico The Heifer

There is a herd of heifers in the field down the way from the house here. As heifers always are, they were very curious when I went into the field to photograph them, and they came across to see me. I took several pictures of them in the field, but their interest was retained when I left the field to rejoin the road, and this particular animal was most attentive. In view of the letters in her left ear tag, I thought that the name Rico was most appropriate for her. It's a shame that they all grow through this phase and become larger adult animals. This teenage equivalent phase is a joy to behold.
