Developments

Last year I blipped the old Harborne swimming pool, which was closing down after over 80 years. Here is the modern and somewhat ugly construction that is replacing it. It will be all singing and dancing (well at least until the light bulbs need changing, or someone notices they forgot to build changing rooms, or something) but still not as pleasant to look at as what went before. I don't know about these jutting coloured shapes that architects go for. Buildings like the new Ripple building in New York, or London's Shard are more impressive to me, combining grace, light or unusual shapes. Our new swimming pool seems a bit blunt by comparison.
