Shadows

James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with Whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

To our dear friend, Bill, who was an excellent gift in our lives; who is now done with his work on earth and had asked that the song, "In the Garden" by Charles A Miles in 1913, be sung for his memorial.

Charles Miles recognized Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God, and so did Bill. Ninety Eight years apart, but they both sang these words in reference to those peaceful times when we wander through the garden, feel the breeze, and chat with God, and so will we.

I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses.

And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.

He speaks and the sound of His voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me within my heart is ringing.

I'd stay in the garden with Him, though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe His voice to me is calling.

And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known.

RIP Bill
