Holme Fell

This little tarn is up on the flanks of Holme Fell near Hodge Close.

Hodge Close is tucked away, down a narrow road on the right, between Ambleside and Coniston.

After a cold grey start to the day, the afternoon turned out much nicer.

There was a fair bit of Bog Myrtle growing in the marshy ground around here.

It smells wonderful when you brush against it.
