As Heavy as a Hippo

Yesterday me and the other half moved 100 plasterboards from the pavement into the house.

This pile of 50 boards weighs nearly 2 tonnes on its own - that's as heavy as a hippo or a rhino! We moved over 3 tonnes in total and it took us nearly four hours to get the boards into the house.

We'd only got as far as leaning them up against the wall last night (we know it's not the right way to store them but it was 9pm when we got the last board into the house) so we had to go back over this morning to move them into the pile.

We don't feel too good now. Hopefully they won't weigh as much when we have to take them up the stairs.... or is that wishful thinking?
