Snails

We were off out gardening today as the weather was meant to turn late this afternoon. My job was to get rid of all the Kletten-Labkraut from an overgrown vegetable plot. In English this plant is known as Stickywilly and my two companions found it very amusing that I was the one handling all the stickywillies in the garden.

We discovered that I am allergic to Stickywillies as both my arms came up in a very pretty and devilishly itchy rash. I looks as though I will never handle another Stickywilly and I can't say I'm that upset.

After that I de-algaed the pond again - there are dragonflies in abundance there that I will attempt to Blip and will undoubtedly fail.

And after all our efforts in the garden we sat down to dinner on the patio. We had Bratkartoffeln with a very nice veggie melange thing (my German is coming on leaps and bounds as you can see). And as a bit of a language lesson to some of my non-German chums, Brat means fried. So Bratwurst is a fried sausage, Bratkartoffeln are fried potatoes. Just in case you ever wondered.

We had a very nice Nachtisch (that's dessert) too, it was a very light concoction involving raspberries, mascarpone and sponge cake. lovely.
