The price of inflation... Freedom

I had a choice of blips today as the weather was so nice.

Our garden kicked off again and we had sightings of our first Dragonfly, a Magpie in our Buddleia, a Chaffinch drinking from the pond, Frogs, Tadpoles, baby Lesser Waterboatmen, baby Waterboatmen (Backswimmers) and loads more!

The stars of the show today were our Damselflies. We saw our first mating pair of Common Blue Damselflies and we counted at least 20 exuviae (cases that the Nymphs had emerged from) that we could see.

We found this character above, a Common Blue Damselfly, and while Shelley took some quick shots I set up the Camera to do some time-lapse photography and above is the still result taken at 30 second intervals over minutes (the above ten shots are over intervals of roughly 5 minutes). The full sequence will b put together for a video although I hope to capture one exiting the water as well!
